ABOUT ADVENTUREPEDIA BLOG — REAL TREKKERS, REAL BUDGETS, REAL ADVENTURES
Our Story: How AdventurePedia Started
We’re not travel influencers. We’re not professional photographers. We’re not Instagram thirst-trappers.
We’re budget trekkers who spent our own money on 50+ treks across India, and we’re tired of the fake travel narrative online.
Every blog post you read here comes from real experience:
- Real costs (actual rupees spent)
- Real struggles (blisters, altitude sickness, bad weather)
- Real friendships (made on shared treks)
- Real hacks (that actually saved us money)
The Problem We Solve
When we started trekking in 2020, every blog said the same thing:
“Budget trek: ₹40,000 minimum”
“Bhutan costs ₹1,50,000+”
“Himachal requires expensive permits”
We tested these claims. And found they were WRONG.
We spent ₹25,000 on Kashmir trek (guides said ₹80,000 minimum).
We did Himachal for ₹24,000 (articles claimed ₹45,000 minimum).
We backpacked Vietnam for ₹30,000 (blogs said ₹50,000+).
So we started documenting real costs. Real hacks. Real experiences.
What Makes Our Blog Different
❌ What We DON’T Do:
- Fake “luxury resort” reviews (we’re not travel bloggers with sponsored posts)
- Affiliate marketing clickbait (we recommend AdventurePedia because WE use them)
- Generic “top 10 destinations” fluff (you can Google that)
- Photoshopped Instagram fantasy (we show real camps, real mud, real experiences)
✅ What We DO Do:
- Real cost breakdowns: Every rupee accounted for
- Honest hacks: How to save ₹10,000-25,000 per trek
- Personal stories: What actually happened (good + bad)
- Safety first: Altitude sickness management, permit information, insurance guidance
- Community focus: Help others trek smarter, not cheaper
